Hollywood Goes Nude! A Look Back

Hollywood Goes Nude!  An A-list (and sometimes B-list) celebrity used to scoff at the idea of doing a nude scene in a film. Their moviestar status was often at stake, and so any nude scenes were either done by a body double, or not done at all. Nowadays celebrities are accepting more risque roles that require them to show a little more skin than usual. Sometimes these roles are early in their career (before they moved up on the Hollywood food chain), and sometimes a celeb will accept a role with a nude scene in an attempt to help resuscitate their ailing career. Sometimes an actor even does a nude scene to up their "street cred". Either way we (the audience) wins!

Let's Get Naked...

One of the first nude scenes performed by an A-list actor was Marilyn Monroe's skinny-dipping scene in her film "Somethings Got to Give". Unfortunately, this film remains un-finished. Shortly after filming began, Marilyn died at the age of 36. However, most of the film footage from her skinny-dipping scene remains preserved in the documentary Marilyn Monroe - The Final Days
Halle Berry (2001) ---Swordfish [Blu-ray]--- This Oscar winner continues to deny rumors that she was paid a *lot* of extra cash (almost $500,000) to do the small nude scene.

Gretchen Mol/Bettie Page (2006) ---The Notorious Bettie Page--- Gretchen Mol, the actress portraying Bettie Page in this film, gets nude for a couple scenes. There is also a special feature on the disc that shows a movie reel of the *real* Bettie Page doing a strip tease!

Eurotrip (Unrated Widescreen Edition) ---ok ..so there really aren't any "major" stars who get nude in this movie, but it does have a great cameo by Matt Damon, and definitely has plenty of naked femmes (in addition to being truly hilarious).
